API Overview
As we add axept® PRO to more and more Android terminal types and manufacturers, we have recognised that you will not want to have to implement multiple hardware-specific implementations. We have therefore developed the axept® PRO Printing & Scanning API.
The Printing & Scanning API acts as a bridge between the hardware and the software, allowing you to interact with the printing and scanning capabilities of Android devices without having to worry about the underlying hardware specifics. By providing a consistent set of functions, methods, and protocols, the API abstracts the complexity of the hardware implementation and simplifies your development process.
The API supports both text and image printing, giving you full flexibility to print combined card and goods receipts. You can also use the API for printing outside of the transaction process, such as:
- Printing Kitchen Orders
- Printing Vouchers or QR Codes
- POS Reporting
Before Starting
Before starting to integrate to the axept® PRO Printing & Scanning API, you will need an axept® PRO Android terminal that includes a built-in printer or scanner, depending on the functionality you want to use.
